The Table is Ready (Song with Lyrics and Music)

tableready

Chorus:

The table is ready,

The table is ready

The table is ready

Let us come and dine.

Verse #1

The wedding cake is on the table

He is waiting for His bride to come

The dinner for HIs bride is ready

He will call His children home.

Verse #2

The flowers in the lovely gardens

Sway and clap to creation’s song

Giving praise unto the Father

Until the bride will sing His song.

Verse #3

The shining walls of that city

Made of glistening precious stones

The mansions there are all made ready

For His children to come home.

Jesus is calling, calling us to dine

Jesus is calling, any day any time

Jesus is calling, we don’t know the hour

Jesus is coming, let us praise Him now

My Friend

magickal-suncatchers-wind-chimes-4

The wind chimes tinkled in the distance

And caught my attention as I

Turned from the window and sighed

My friend, the one that I loved

Had left me alone with my pain

Even now, a sadness washed over me

As I looked out on a new day

I brushed a tear away and suddenly saw

That I was not alone

The same God who was near me in the

Days of joy, would be even nearer

To me now in the days of loss.

Eternity

sky-13

Purple-pink skies as we travel to eternity

Seeing colors we have never seen

On the other side of glory

Others who have gone before

Rush to us to show their eagerness

To show us their love and their joy

Gentle hands reaching out to caress

Not seeing us in the eyes of the world

But seeing us in the light of eternity

And finally that all-encompassing moment

When we see God as He is in all

The light and illumination of Heaven.

One Minute Before My Birthday

newbornbaby

I laid there in that quiet place

And thought about how nice

It would be to feel your arms around

Me and feel kisses on my cheeks

I would look deep into your eyes

To show you how much you are

Loved and cherished by me

But you let them kill me

One minute before my birthday

Arms that should be holding

On to you are no more

The pain I felt as they ripped

My life away was unbearable

But more still the horror of knowing

You didn’t want me in your life

How I cried as I looked into the face

Of eternity and loved you still

One minute before my birthday

They freed his hands first

Then one leg and yet another

Each man reached for the child

When it was finally free

Brushing his little face with their fingers

And wiping the dust away

The man who first heard him whimper

Had the honor of carrying him to his mother

Whose cries of mourning turned to joy

It was a miracle and each man held on

To that  as they returned to the task

of digging for more survivors

Their sweat mingled with the dirt

From their effort as they contemplated

The miracle and wondered.

They Took My Veil (A Song with Words and Lyrics) By Candy Statts

woman kneeling

They took my veil from me
My dress was ripped and torn.
They said I should be stoned
For the sin that I had done.

I looked for some kind face
To rescue me from harm.
But knew that noone would
The stones were in their hand.

And then I saw His face
He was writing in the sand.
And then He straightened up
And said “Who is the man”?

Who here is without sin
Can cast the first stone
And when I looked around
I saw they were all gone.

He asked me where the men
Who accused me had all gone.
He said to go back home
That all my sins were gone.

I’ll never forget His face
I give my heart to Him
He gave me a brand new life
My love belongs to Him.

That man is now my Lord
I give to Him my song.
Still now I look around
My accusers are still gone.

She Runs For The Finish Line

I see her as she’s running

Though she is unaware

The wind has dried her tear-stained cheeks

with tendrils of her hair

She is bowed but she’s not broken

Let us show her that we care,..

And along the way

We’ll say a prayer

As she strives to get there.

She runs for the finish line

It’s taking precious time

To find a cure

This much we know is true

But if we stay the course

Fight till we find the source

And until then we’ll tell you what we’ll do

We can’t take her burden

Although we all want to

We can’t take her burden

But we can carry her

Over the finish line.

Sticky Kisses

He turned his little face up to me for a kiss.  My heart melted as our eyes met in one of those moments that are captured in your heart forever.  My 3 year old grandson, one of a set of twins, is a very active young man.  He is personable and active.  The other twin, Hunter is the compliant one.  But Tyler is the one who is the mastermind.  I see them in the corner talking “twinspeak” and I know that it is time to batten down the hatches because the twins are on the roll again.

And sure enough, a couple of minutes later, one of them will jump off a piece of furniture while the other one laughs and runs to the other room.  We know this, their mom and I.  You can’t help but chuckle though.  You try to look stern and displeased but inside your heart is laughing.

They were the babies the doctor said would never be.  My daughter and her husband were exploring adoption when I got the call.  “I don’t have the flu mom”, my daughter began, “I’m pregnant.”  A couple of days went by and she called me again.  “I’m in the emergency room, Mom.  Are you sitting down?“ I assured her I was.  “We’re having twins.”, she told me, trying to keep back the tears of happiness.

It has been a wild ride ever since.  But when they turn up their little, sometimes sticky faces for a kiss, I think how blessed I am to have them in my life.
